Actually, many people have said they have seen this, including myself, but they are so vague and if you have trouble reproducing and no log errors w/ specifics they are hard to pin down or report. How much ram do you have? Also do you have any 3rd party plugins?

This is a pretty weird and VERY aggravating problem. C5Pro appears to be the most stable version I've ever had my hands on. I'm running on a laptop with an ATI card as well but it's a very vanilla card. Just a post to present some compassion on the issue. Previous versions have had their moments. The original metacreations version of C was the real master of madness for bugs (even after you applied the elusive and mysterious patch)! I got very lucky to secure a copy of the metacreations version before it vanished into the ether and then it was tough to find the patch on the net after Metacreations disappeared (thank you EOVIA!). I would definitely update your video drivers with ATI's latest stuff and also update Windows (if you haven't already). I'd also try to remember any other software you may or may not have been running since your last reboot. Just a shot in the dark but maybe something to think about if you're trying to track memory leaks (who knows). -Kix

From my experience, Carrara5 really does need you to ensure everything is fully updated, it's been designed to work with those latest things. Especially Windows and your ATI card. If you havent recently updated you will find lots to download and apply.
That applies to the Carrara updates too.

This is a long shot based on your desc, but still worth doing if you haven't done it. One thing you should do just to be sure since you haven't indicated anything saying video specifically is fully test your ram. Sometimes only a thorough advanced test will show errors. Memt86 should be ran on the complete advanced options. It takes a long time to run. Let it run overnight. If it doesn't pass you can end up w/ intermittent issues. It can be slight timing or voltage(I mean slight)that can cause this. Regardless you should always test your ram thoroughly.

I am getting quite a few 'Unknown errors' while doing very simple stuff. For instance, Insert a cube, and covert to another modeler, and i get the message. Importing a scene I might get it. Other times I can do so without errors. Is this a known thing that Eovia is working on to anybodies knowledge? This is with the latest update, BTW.
