Bring Even More Life to Poser characters in Carrara 4 The TransPoser 2 plug-in for Carrara 4 enables the import of Poser characters and animations. Carrara users now have access to Poser's full range of realistic 3D characters. TransPoser simply takes a Poser scene and inserts it into a Carrara 4 scene, as easy as that! Characters are imported complete with full textures, hair, clothing, animation and lighting. Compatible with: - Carrara 4 Standard - Carrara 4 Pro

What are the odds, I ordered C4 Pro last friday. I wonder if ill have T2 included, or is it T1? E

It does say that you can upgrade to T2 for $39.00 on the Eovia website - which isn't that bad. I'm almost in the same boat as echo871. I'm on the cusp of ordering C4 Pro and am curious to see what happens.

Hello.I have Transposer1 and Carrara 4 standard.Two problems:
First: no texture loaded with my Poser files because ,according Eovia,i put my Poser 5 not at the default folder...It was correct with Carrara3...is this problem is corrected with Transposer 2?
second:loading pz3 files take a long ,long time to load...Is Transposer 2 is more fast?

It would be nice if someone having bought T2 could answer
Thanks

Here's a quick test I did with Poser 5, Dynamic Hair, into Carrara 4 Pro with TransPoser 2. I've never had the problem you are experiencing with any TransPoser. My files load fairly quickly and correctly.

The Transposer that is delivered with Carrara 4 Pro is identical to the one that you could buy with Carrara Studio 3. It should work even if Poser is not installed at the default location (I tested it on several system). If you are experiencing that kind of problem with TransPoser 1 or 2, please email me directly at charles@eovia.com. Thanks Charles

Do we have to buy an upgrade for C4Pro owners to T2? Or, is there some kind of 'update' plan?

Patrick_210 ( ) posted Thu, 24 February 2005 at 11:14 PM

Upgrade to TransPoser 2 for C4Pro is $39.99. Patrick

Charles from Eovia find a solution to my problem(Thanks). Finally ,Transposer load my Poser files with textures and remember where is my Poser.exe.Still slowly but working. It was about installation of Transposer when you update to C4,one file(carrara.rsr)was missing and not moved correctly.

I still waiting for results from someone buying Transposer2 and use it with Carrara4 standard. What ameliorations can we see with this update?

Bonjour!I just bought Transposer2 upgrade today for use with Carrara 4 Standard.First impressions: -installation:no problem(i had initially problems to update T1 to C4)`` -no problem with textures -Poser lights imported well, more than Transposer1 -possiblity to change poses in Poser and automatic update in Carrara4 :working for the two tests i have tried For now,i am satisfied with this upgrade

I personally think it`s a bit of cheek charging for this upgrade. I have Carrara 4 Pro with Transposer 1.
What are you getting

  1. Dynamic hair. Great.
  2. Scene update button. Great & about time should have been with the first version. Wait a minute it was.
See below from Transposer Help File.

Update Your Scene
Once you have imported a figure from Poser you can update it. You simply need to close and save the Carrara scene in which you imported the Poser file, make your changes in Poser and reopen your file (.car) in Carrara: the changes you made in Poser will be there!
Note that there are a number of limitations to the update:

  • The update will only affect existing figures or props. If you add figures or props to your Poser scene, they will not be added to your Carrara scene.

  • The animation change will be updated. However the length of the animation should not be changed (otherwise you will need to update the end keyframe manually inside Carrara).

  • Material changes will not be taken into account. This allows you to change the shading inside Carrara.
O.k. so you now have a button to make it easier.

  1. Network Rendering. O.K. if you have more than one computer. I wonder how many Carrara user`s do?

  2. Michael 3 & Victoria 3 models included. Well you can order both the base models from Daz for Free.
I wonder what you get in addition to the base model to give you a $79.90 value!

And other additional new features;

  • Enable/Disable Lighting on Import
  • Import Spotlights
  • Import of PZZ files (compressed Poser files)

What do you think?
Worth paying Yes or No?
