What can I say here, born in 1974 in Dallas, Texas and grew up (mostly) there I have always been musically inclined and motivated towards the arts and performance. [Insert extended childhood memoirs here] I graduated HS in 1992 and moved to LA,CA to attend USC where I did my freshman & sophomore years majoring in Jazz Studies performance with emphasis on the guitar. Frustrated I left school in 1995 and just haunted LA, getting myself into as much trouble as I could handle. After deciding I needed a fresh start I returned for school in Denton,TX at UNT to try and complete my BS. I had to retake many courses I had already taken because my "credit didn't transfer" between school and again after a year I found myself frustrated and uninterested in school. Again I left to move to Baton Rouge, LA where I spent the next 6 years playing music and just enjoying life in general. Decided at 26 that I didn't want to be career-less when I was thirty so I enrolled myself at ITT Technical Institute in New Orleans, LA where I proceeded to move. I was able to finally focus (maybe because it was not a music performance program... hmm, you think?) and I completed two AS degrees in computer networking systems and multimedia and my BS in Information Systems Security. During my four and a half years there I also worked full-time for the school in just about every capacity possible, starting a gamers club (oh yes, X-boxes, PS2's, Cubes, PC's - all on projectors and networked for multiplayer- mouth watering geek heaven - if it had cold beer and scantilly clad ladies I could die there happy). Promptly in concordance with my graduation I moved to Austin, TX reuniting with my best friend and musical compatriat since 7th grade and escaping the degradation trip of the Big Easy in one fail swoop. So here it is in January of 2005 and I am beggining the long arduos task of finding a decent job to begin what I hope to be a long career, trying to find the components of a band, grow a virtual garden, fall in love, and be generally fruitful. I hope that by joining this community I can also find tutelage, advice and inspiration from my peers whilst I set forth to, as they say, "get mine".
