Thank you for showing an interest in my artwork. I don't have all my stuff uploaded yet so be sure to check back soon to see my other works. I have pencil sketches, acryilic paintings and Poser renders.
I'm in my early 20's, married, and have 2 kids. I've always been an artist from the day I was born. I like doing all types of art but mostly I do pencil sketches and acrylic paint on canvas. I used to do colored pencil but I was rarely happy with the results so I stopped doing them. I used to create alot of images every year but since I had kids I don't get much time to do anything let alone sit and draw or paint. So, since I can't improve much more with practice('cuz I've no time for practice anymore not because I don't need it) I figured I'd try to get some feedback on works I've already done to try and see what I should focus on when I do get those rare times alone to create.
I originally started posting my work in an effort to balance out the "harem fantasy" works I kept seeing on this and other sites. There were a lot of "harem" dancers and bellydancers being done but as a Middle Eastern dancer myslef I couldn't stand to see how poorly we were being depicted. The stuff that people were coming up with was so far off from anything even remotely based in reality that I thought I would attempt to add some more realistic images. Of course finding appropriate content for my 3D rneders has proven to be a difficult challenge. Costumes drawn in 2D images are rarely realistic in others works and costumes available for 3D renders are generally horrendous if available at all! Settings have been too few and far apart. And props and accesories are fairly inaccurate as well. Someday when I have more time on my hands, if it has not been done already, I hope to create at least some authentic textures for existing things that would make them more realistic and suitable for use in an authentic usage. If I ever get the hang of modeling I hope to create some actual realistic models as well whether that be clothing, props, or settings. When I first started out in 3D there was pretty much nothing even remotely worthy of use in renders involving harems, bellydancers, or the Middle East however several worth while productions have been produced more recently. Some things you just have to work around and modify to get something worth while but, I guess until I can make them myslef I'll probably never get something exactly like what I want. If anyone is interested in creating anything Middle Eastern I would be more than happy to provide details on how to make it look authentic.
