Description
When Michael started sharing his plans for his Brother Thomas and the Guardians of Zion book series, I couldn't wait to get started on the cover art and design. If I remember right, Michael is planning on maybe two new books a year for the series. Looks like I'll be kept busy, lol.
I LOVE MY JOB!!!
Along with the cover, I've also created a logo, also created, initially, in Daz, (below) and building website for his new publishing company, Seneschal Publishing.
Back cover:
Thomas could think of a million places he’d rather be right now than on a Confirmation retreat. After all, his parents had forced him to attend. It’s only Saturday morning and already he wants to leave. All that changes when Thomas is challenged by a dark presence that wants nothing more than to see his faith fail, a faith he didn’t even know he had. As the darkness consumes him, Thomas’ entire world breaks apart.
Can Thomas find the strength to resist the darkness? Will he become the person Father Dominic believes he will be? Can he really accept the quest to find the Guardians of Zion, or was that just a dream? If only he had superpowers. But then again, perhaps he does…

Fantastic scene. Excellent work!
Least you have a job and to love it too you are doubly blessed. Of course having the talent to succeed certainly helps.
I'm not religious, but if I saw a creepy black ghost coming after me, I think the church would be the best place to hide !
Nice work on this cover design and future work.
~Cheers~

Impressive and wonderful cover !

FANTASTIC!!!!!
beautiful
I love that shadow figure and the framing of this image. Perfect book cover design. :)
Tried to make out the shape of that shadowy figure. Not much success. :) But I'm sure that's the idea: to make it all the more threatening in appearance, because you're not sure what it is.
The overall composition is great (one wonders how often a chapel is located in a forest), but the message it expresses is perhaps a bit too plain, too literal. Then again I guess it's just me. :)
Again, you are correct ... The shadowed figure is an evil spirit. The reason there is a chapel in the middle of a forest is because it's a church camp; a religious retreat.
Again, all details specified by the client. :D
Scary shadowy figure! Great work as always!
Great work.
