There is an interesting story behind this unfinished fish. After I retired I sometimes went in to do a bit of 'supply' teaching, mainly in the art department, and on this occasion I sat with a small group of less able 12 year old boys. They seemed at best puzzled, and even uninterested in the task in hand, so as the rest of the class were stuck in to their work I concentrated on engaging these chaps. I started this fish, and 4 of the 5 of them did the same, as they now could see how to go about it. At the end of the hour number 5, who had done Sweet Fanny Adams, said to me " Ere Miss...you never done that! (indicating this image), you done got that out of a book, you did! You'm a right cheat!" and however much the others pointed out that he had watched me start with a blank sheet, he was not to be convinced! If any of you want to go on with this pic either virtually in PS or on paper feel free, it makes for a very relaxing doodle. I shall one day finish the paper one and show you.
