A simple image but lovely nonetheless. I like how the edge of the lamp lines up with the edge of the roof. The fact that is electric makes it loose a little bit of it's charm, but still it's a keeper.
i don't know what to think about this pic!But maybe it's normal: i have no brain.....
I like....it is the angle of the dangle that catches the Eye :]
Maybe a bit to high, but I like it, it shows charisma
The only suggestion i would make is to tweek the levels a bit, it is a tad dark. Otherwise it is a fine image! I love the old world charm!!
looks cool to me... pov and b/w toning are excellent!!! very well captured!!!
Nice shot Pascale- not sure I can make suggestions but think Kort is expressing a bit they I feel.
very nice shot! like this b/w
l now the main pov is on the lamp of this house but the window draws me in something very special about times past with th is house. excellent capture... :)... :)
You know.. I find this very enlightening. ;)
its a wonderful impression and a great motive for b/w photography.i like the compo and expressive tones.excellent done #:O)
I think I know what you mean. The lamp is great. But the lines on it connect the negative space of the sky and the window which makes the picture more busy. Perhaps a bit more visual separation? The angle on the light is pleasing too though. Things to watch for may be what frames your subject. :)
lovely old lamp; very well done. I would have took the shot so the window and lamp be not together but a little off of each other
Can you do the brick in colour?Wonder what that would look like?Beautifull pov!
Nice old world charm Pascale, I like it in B&W, it looks like the times it should be in. Maybe a little dark, but pulls the eyes into it. Eccellent. Lina
Very well done! ;0) Excellent POV and b&W!
you do have the lamp & the wall lined up perfectly :]
I like it! We have same lamps on Upper Town (old part of Zagreb). That is a part of architecture and it's very beautiful! Excellent shot!*****!
Very simple and very beautiful! Nostalgic!
Dont switch the light honey :-)
Nice Work!
I think this would look nice in an antique sepia tone. If you could blur out the electric light somehow it really have distinct charm to it. Great composition, looks like it was a very difficult lighting situation.
Took me back some distance in time to when these street lamps were Gas, and were lit by a lamplighter. And the window next to it reminds me of 'knocker-up's who rapped with a long pole on bedroom windows for those who couldn't afford alarm-clocks! Sorry for rambling ... it's a great picture!
the lamp almost looks 3D! i love the reflections in the window!
Gorgeous POV andcompo, Pascale! The b/w is just perfect! Yes, Sheila is right... the lamp almost looks 3D!
Ecellent use of b&w; the light is well balanced. One more thing ... I love it ! Congrats Pascale !!!
wonderful black and white contrast what i love most is that water dripping down the side brick wall!! all is magical and lit with its presence and yours!!
This one just catched my eye.... have to go to bed... Tomorrow is a long day... Thank you Honey! Huge Hugs
I like this - It makes me think of Victorian London, but its showing how times have moved on and the old gas lamps became electrified (of course, I have no idea if this WAS a victorian gas lamp, but it still makes me think of one ;) ).
My eye is drawn to the reflection in the window. Could be a little dark
