I was going to write about pro's and cons of semi-slr-zoom-camera's vesus d-SLR camera's, but that is an endless discussion. I made my choice; mostly on comparison of sample pictures of a lot of camera's. I couln't find the superior image quality of d-SLR over semi-slr-zoom-camera's. Zoom-camera's produce more noise at high iso-rates, but some d-SLR camera's aren't so good at that point either. If you want to compare sample pictures of camera's too: http://www.imaging-resource.com/IMCOMP/COMPS01.HTM. You could compare f.i. a Nikon Coolpix 8800 with several dSLR's and see for yourself! www.imaging-resource.com does a thorough on camera reviews in my opinion. This will be my last post on: What choice of camera? Though I wouldn't refuse to work with a Canon EOS 20D and a dedicated macro lens when I'm not in the field. But hey, you/I cann't have it all :)) PapaGuru.

Cool! I'll keep this link somewhere and have a look on it as soon as I've got the money to change my cam. But, anyway, something tells me that I'll consider your opinion (the one you gave last time) more than other criteria. 'cause your results speak by themselves! The clarity and richness in the colors is incredible. I have a D-SLR (Nikon D70), and think it does a fabulous job but it does get noisy at higher iso. even at lower, it doesn't come out this perfect.
