what this thing is. It's sitting in a small... I'm not sure what... park? Museum? Wannabe mall? in Lansdowne. To put it in context, it's next to what looks as if it was once Lansdowne Station. The small building has that 'look' about it, and it sports a small bargeboard stating: LANSDOWNE. Next to the building is a parking area and a disconnected spur that contains this gizmo, an old baggage cart, and about five cabooses. No signs. I remember, from years back, the cabooses were being refurbished for some unspecified purpose: possibly offices or small businesses. We can still see the remains of a cluster of electric consumption meters in the grouping (coming!). I digress . . . The best I can figure is this thing was a self-propelled inspection car of some sort. It has rudimentary control handles, but does not really have a place to sit. How 'bout it Em-Dubya? Any ideas?
