here the home page og where Red Mountian is. One of my hight lights of my trip out west in late 2003. Just as grand as the Grand Canyon. and not too many people heard about it. lol
Here is a photo from top of one of the hoodoo'd. This shows where we came in. as you see it wood lands and lots of grass and soil.
I asked if the side blow out like mt Saint Halan and they say no . in a way they right for you have to hike to the other side to see the main vent. which I missed lol. But I saw what I saw and halve the mountian is gone. If it did not blow then I guess a UFO came and took the other halve of the mountian?
I know the pictures are not good on this series for I had a cheap camera and I did not know what I was doing when I took these photos. A lot of my image with people in them the head is cut off and things like that I may post one just to show what most volcanos look like. Red Mountian is not a cone volcano as most in this area is.

A magnificant view of this mighty moutain.
I agree, so many people think the Grand Canyon is the only thing to go do, and they miss places that are so much more personal, quieter, and not crowded. This is a very beautiful place. Now I definitely want to get there, knowing it's a place we can climb on rocks. :D
