Description
Another traditionally shot Infrared B&W photo that I developed, printed and then toned. This time I used a copper toning solution. I found that it complimented the infrared film and actually liked it more than sepia toning. You tone a print in copper solution for a short time and get the an effect much like sepia toning, or leave it in the solution longer for a more brassy look such as the one you see here.

I think this image works better as an infra red B&W then the previous one, simple because there is more plant material that can react to the specific light rays. The images also has a nostalgic feel from the early photographs when photographer were exploring this new technology of taking pictures. It is wonderful to wee you explore your early material and update it with not only todays technology but with the knowledge you have gained these many years. -Egmont
Excellent self portrait, something old something new:):):):)
Nice work on this Kort and sexy u! ;) I love this one, beautifully atmospheric!
l like this tone to and its wonderful to experiment to gain ones own knowledge and experiance.. and love the shadowing of the window, and soft sensual light reflecting in... the tone actually blend well with the hair, it highlights certain areas beautiful.. fantastic work kort...(((( and about time us females has some eye candy ))))..hehehe ..:)...)))))))))))
i have so much wanted to do some infared shooting...can't wait to try that!!!! love this image, Kort! guess what i like the most is the contrast of light and dark...same like yesterday. i love how the shadows fall on your torso. what fascinates me is the shadow of your hand there on your left side...reaching out. That's what makes this shot for me. i'm trying to figure it out. that shadow...is it coming from your hand which is up above? it's not making sense to me. the way you are looking out the window and the light falling on you is, of course, the focal point of this image, and this image feels quite introspective. i can't help it though...that shadow of the hand is what makes this one a wonderful piece to study. I don't know much about the technology of how you did this...just will say i really like it! :)
A real fine shot of this handsome Young Man...reminds Me of...Me...sigh

Cool stuff, maybe a tad more contrast ? Superb work here !! :o)
An interesting set of experiments, the copper colouring does give a much nicer 'look and feel' to the picture than sepia! As camera2 says, maybe its the enhance effect of the IR and the plants.
I love this tone and the bit of graininess in the pic.Nice soft light and creative composition.Isn't working in a dark room fun?I used to get lost in there for hours!
created by light and shade! amazing pw adding a dreamy atmosphere! a soulful expression! got the info! ;o)
