Description
Still playing with "between-the-wars" weird aircraft concepts, though this one is stretching the definition a bit: it's tripped off the Dornier-335 'Pfeil' [Arrow]. Had we not been bombing the snot out of German factories, and had they been able to get enough engines to put the Do-335 in operation, it might very well have won all the marbles as the fastest fighter of WWII. Ahh...the great 'might-have-beens'.

Am I right in guessing that these planes were inspired by the Crimson Skies Board/Vidieogame? Either way, they look awesome! Keep up the good work.
I think thats were they came up with the term of" backward engineering", as always i think your air plane models are tops, the camo job and colors of the plane do the Arrow justice!
Reminds me of a Bruce McCall illustration from his "Little Known Aircraft of WWII". In this case it was an Italian warplane with an engine at either end, enabling the pilot to change sides and fly in either direction as needed.
The propellors look too small for it to be truly fast so if you have made them to scale I would doubt that claim. Your modelling and composition is standout quality. I enjoy touring this era.
Sorry, I don't know the 'Crimson Skies' videogame. I just stumbled on the Do-335 in a book on WWII experimental aircraft. After that, it just seemed to pop up everywhere.
