Description

After the painting of 19th century painter Guillaume Bouguereau, one of my favourites. All credits to him. Thanks to Shaybear for holding "For the Love of a Child" contest, that inspired this work. A beautiful painting! I love the dirty feet, nice touch. Still, this belongs in the mixed-medium gallery, and you know it! Don't take this the wrong way, it really is a great picture.

Very nice image! William-Adolphe Bouguereau is the Artist's name (sorry to correct you, but it is the Art teacher comming out in me!) Also check out Jean-Leon Jerome, Sir Laurence Alma-Tadema and Lord Frederick Leighton -- their work is similar to Bouguereau's. Enjoy!

Just beautiful and the cloth painting is superb!! I too like the dirty feet ;} Often wish those that do textures, especially for children would include that option. Very well done, indeed!! ~V~
