Description
Hello everyone! This is a pic I've been sitting on for a while.I'm just not sure it's done....I was considering doing selective coloring on it but am having some trouble with that.(I'm such a newbie to photoshop!
This pic is of my camera-hogging daughter, Meg,when I went down to the beach in Florida for some water shots. She would not get out of the way!I like something about this image though. It has a 'feel' I like.Hope you like it,too. But I'd welcome all your suggestions for improving it as well.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments on American Egrets! So happy to have made so many of you laugh.Every time you laughed, I laughed again with you. What a great day that was!
(PS putting A.E. in the Horror section was an accident. But when I saw that that had happened I cracked up even more!)
Have a GREAT WEEKEND ALL!!!!!!!-Marlene

This image has such strenght and inocense that I have to thank you for posting it. Bravo !!!
a very lovely maid. she looks like she waiting or dreaming of sailing the high seas. But then she just like to watch the waves come in.
Brilliant life portrait! VOTE
lovely shot
Beautiful in B&W!! Excellent picture and lovely daughter. :-)
I imagined her mental scene. I think that it is because it is a mono-color perhaps. Nice shot!
Excellent picture and lovely daughter i double that :)
good she didn't get out of the way since she makes this for sure, great feel to this! :]
What a beautiful place and atmosphere! Excellent shot!!!
Strong and sensual image ! Most excellent job ! I'm glad you just used B&W (although I would also like to learn this color spot trick...) Enjoy your week-end, Marlene ! :~)
Very lovly image, I like the water wherre you cropped it, and the tones are lovly, she looks great. Eccellent. V Lina
Great shot!Nice B&W image! Very well done!
Beautiful capture of your daughter watching the waves. The album shall grow and she will love it when its time for reminiscing. Aloha
LOL, yup placing A.E in the horror section was nothing other than a stroke of genious!!! Gorgeous photot this is, love how its composed. With Meg slightly offcentered to the right like that, it really brings it all together if you know what i mean. I like the widescreen feel to it with that crop you made. And the frame is oh so classy and goes so perfect with this one. The photo is somewhat grainy, but sometimes that only adds to the overall (isnt that something mechanics wear? Is it spelled overwhole...stupid swede..wheres my dictionary) effect...and it sure works SPLENDIDLY for this one. I think you did the right thing to keep it B/W and not do selective colouring on it...wouldnt have worked out at all in this one. Ooops..sorry...seems like im leaving another looooong comment..so to sum it up...you hoped that wed like it? Im sorry, i dont.....I LOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful weekend with the family #:O)
isnt much l can add after reading above except excellent.. love the use of b/w to creat a romantic feel.. excellent work.. sublime:)

Beautiful !! Love the compo here !!! Superb work !! :o) Maybe clone out that... well whatever it is, at the bottom of the pic... :o)
ah....Marlene...this is FABULOUS!!! I do so much love the photo...has a "feel" to it as you said. she's just standing there looking out, and i wonder what she's thinking. is she having thoughts about her boyfriend? about college? about her future life as an adult? or maybe she's just enjoying the view for what it is. what a special capture, Marlene!!!!! and i think b/w was the perfect choice!
love this ! it makes me think of how watching the waves can bring such a peace.. she is beautiful and so is your talented work!!
Wonderful capture - nice range of tones and composition - has a good atmosphere to it :)
I quite like it, not certain why your uncomfortable with it? You should be glad your daughter remained steadfast... sort of makes the pic.
