UF3, PS and the deep crunch filter.
A special thanks to kareldg for his tips on using this filter. I really like the effect, but I could quite easily get carried away with it... I'm sure this is but the first of many.. though hopefully I will get better and be able to add other effects as well. Thanks for looking!!

The coolest thing about this effect is that it lends such perspective and depth. Awesome fractalscape and lovely coloring.
Joey...Absolutely AWESOME!! Go ahead and get carried away!!! LOVE this...As someone who has lived on the Tundra (I'm in Alaska), you have captured the beauty of the colors seen in the winter...Magnificently!!! Just a gorgeous piece with a gorgeous gradient...and this is NO B.S.!!! Excellent...More Please!!
Beautiful work!! Reminds me of a Bismuth Crystal!! ~V~
Beautiful image. Looks like cities on the side of a mountain.
I like what this filter does. Neat effect.
wonderful image
Freaken COOL! This is really neat, Joe - where does one find the "deep crunch' filter?
I really like this effect!
Cool effect! looks like a psychedelic platformer game from the eighties ;)
WOW this is so unusual and very very pretty!
Really amazing: like cities in subtleties of ice...
Brrr. This looks like the magnified surface of an ice cube! Highly detailed and the depth is stunning!!
Surprising effect isn't it. I also am stil playing with the plugin :))
A Stunner Joe!!! That is one heck of a journey. More please, but don't deprive us of your other great spirals...
EXCELLENT! I love it, Joe!
This is a very interesting and unique image! I love your choice of colors, they really highlight and show off the details of your work. Magnificent work, indeed!
That's a pretty cool effect. Almost like you've made a model of a fractal and then cut it in half to show a cross section. Interesting view. :)
