Description

~*~ Centaur ~*~ Creatures part human and part horse. The centaurs were descendants of Centaurus, a son of the music god Apollo. Most centaurs were governed by the bestial half of their double nature. Their behavior was uncouth, and a very small amount of wine drove them wild. One of the most famous of the Centaurs in Myth was Chiron, teacher and healer. He was tutor to many heroes of Greek Myth. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ok, I know I don't usually do men, lol but this was one of them that actually looked male. I took out the magic pencil, (graphite) and added a racing horse to his bottom half. :) Serious, I did actually do this with two different models, a horse and a man and sort of combined them. I was quite happy with the muscles on him, now if only I can get the face right!!!. Graphite on 80lb paper, smudged, scanned into PSP 9. Fixed the gamma a bit, then smudged, and voila. Enjoy.... and tons of thanks to everyone for all your lovely comments and taking a moment to view Prima Ballerina... (back to work tomorrow... ugh) As always Pat
