Description
Thanks for stopping by! Appreciate your doing so and for any comments you may care to leave. Have a great evening!
I don't think there is anymore more plaintive than the sound of a wolf howling - they convey a wildness that we still admire, one that is gradually and sadly, disappearing.
Wolves have always been given a bad reputation which hasn't helped their quest to remain part of modern civilization. This image is dedicated to them.

So realistic it gives me shivers, you can almost hear that lonely howl. Plaintive is exactly the word I thought of when I saw this.
Impressive image. Is this done with an image based light? It looks very nice.
Very impressive Irene, wonderful composition and the sky is magnificent!!!
I can almost hear him, beautiful Irene, he looks stunning in that setting.............
Oh.. I like this.. I can hear 'em howling.. Wooooooooooooooooo.. auwoo! auwoo!
too bad you couldn't add a small sound file - you're a little pixalated on your sky, doing a blur on it would hide that and look like a natural shallow DOF I think. Great comp.
Great dedication to an incredible species! What a fantastic pose and perspective for this lone wolf! The setting and sky is superbly done; I love the fire red sky! Excellent work on this image!!
Wonderful render! Love the pose and I agree about their plantive howl. Maybe they are trying to tell us something.

Outstanding lights Irene!
Fantastic image. The lightning is breathtaking
Great pose on the wolf, he looks very realistic!
Dear Irene, wolves have definitely gotten a bad rap - and yet in one aspect, we've taken them in with us - as dogs are wolves. A couple of minor mutations that have taken place after domestication is all that separate them. I don't here wolves where I live, but I do here the coyotes. They have done much better at living within our environment. Excellent work! Love, Meredith
