Description
We just have to take a look or two at the industrial center of this little area. This is Bartgis Brothers Paper Mill.
Something going on down there with those cars parked on the property. Must contact a local historical society about this. Get details on what the plans are for this area.
Upper left. Did you notice it. The ruins. This is old Saint Mary's College. Once a seminary, but now just a ruin. The interesting thing is that last night I was cruising the USGS overhead photography collection looking for images of this area (maybe to post as an overview to show where we are)... anyhow, I noticed this complex of buildings on the hilltop where these ruins are. A quick Google search found some interesting links:

Ahem! I figured this would appeal to some viewers ;-)
You can read some history, legend, and rumor about the old college.

Thanks! All this look very sad! Excellent shot!!!
Dear TW, you do such an excellent job of researching your work - adding substance behind the photograph - and completing the story. The link shows a lot of pictures ofthe place - they must have got them when the caretaker wasn't around! Excellent work as always!!! Love, Meredith
great and cool capture! very impressive how time runs over handmade things and at the end everything is forgotten and lost! ;o)
