Description
As many of you know, we have a wonderful Samoyed dog named Kiska. She is a princess, and a wonderful companion.
Her nose is out of joint!
One week ago Friday, we got our "New arrival"
His name is Yukon!
He is a 55~lbs bicep!! He has been quite a handfull on walks, he is not aggresive (Mean) but maniacally curious! And he doesn't know his own strength, he is a total "Meat-head".
We were told to try a Gentle leader on him, my wife did not like the idea of one. But I am hear to bear witness! They work like magic!! He is so well behave when he is on one! They say that the slight pressure over the muzzle (Very slight, it's actually loose.) calms them down, and I'll be dipped in dog poo if'n it ain't true!!
Anyway, he is about 1 1/2 years old, more bisque (Brownish) then Kiska, but well within the standard for the breed. And he has the rare trait, yes Samoyeds CAN have one blue eye, and he does! Samoyeds are an artic breed, and are very closey related to Huskies and Malamutes, so no doubt the are some shared genes there, but he is ALL Samoyed!!
So Yukon say's a big "How Dooo!" to all of you!
Have a great weekend!!
