Description
Looking out the front door of Mount Clare mansion, this is the view... the little image in the UR corner.
Seeing this, I had to get a closer look. Seems to be the final resting / rusting ground for an old A unit from some line whose logo I cannot make out.
This area is an old freight sorting yard with a lot of dead 'stuff' in it, but seems to be serving a rather modern warehouse. Contradictions everywhere. And this is about a mile from Mount Clare station: home of the B & O transportation museum. Yes, we will get there. The Weese is taking his time. Right now his garage resembles the set of "Titanic" after the iceberg strike, so he's got other priorities.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
Glug!

A little paint job and a little advertisement will bring people to see this old train. Excellent capture. Aloha

very cool old find... the old man has lived well it looks!
all things deserve rest at the end! fantastic colored capture and sentimental impression! ;o)
Dear TW, I'm playing catchup again on viewing! This is so dramatic and so sad too. I always hate to see once proud machinery rusting away it's final days. I can't place the blue and red with the white circle logo either. Maybe it was a short line or something. Excellent work as always!!! Love, Meredith
