Description
It's the early 1500's. The Age of Exploration has just begun in earnest. It is a time of great efforts, great rewards--and frequent death. The young woman on the dyke has been married less than four months and is two months pregnant. She will not see her adventurer husband for two or more years, and there is the very real possibility that she may never see him again. She is barely sixteen years old. As she stands on the dyke, hoping for one last glimpse of her husband, she prays for his safe return.

Ahhh yes, true adventures long before the jet drive was invented :)). Hard times for most of the involved.
Very nice. The sky is so sweeping. I like how it dominates the picture...really makes you feel how vast and deep the ocean is.
Beautiful scene
