Description
Ok, Rita! You asked for it! A train ride.
Sort of. Welcome aboard ladies and gennelmun!
An interesting line up of engines: BNSF, CSX, and Conrail. Can't these people make up their minds???
Anyhow, a very colorful engine to go with the colorful station from the last post. This one is parked waiting for commuter traffic to go by. One of the mainlines is blocked by track maintenance, so the freight service is taking its time in the wings.
However,I'm not complaining. These big guys are a lot like ferrets... seems everytime you try to snap 'em, they start to move!
The title? Not used to seeing BNSF out east. Saw plenty of these big, orange guys out in Washington state, Texas, and California.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

Dear TW, times have changed! Motive power used to stay on it's own tracks - now I guess it moves around as much as the freight. I had an uncle that was an engineer for Southern Pacific when I was little. Always loved trains. Still do! I'm a sucker for every historic rail ride in the country. Still want to do the trans-Canadian - maybe one of these days. I hope it waits for me! Excellent work. Thanks so much for sharing it us! Love, Meredith
