Description
Mom,
I do so grieve now
As the days go slowly by
I wasn't ready to let you go
As I bid your life goodbye~
On a spring breeze you left me
Another path you made,
Yesterday is gone forever
But my love for you will never fade~
You passed clouds and rainbows
Radiant light touched your face
As the angels wings expanded
Your precious love was then embraced~
Some days my life is so lonely
And some are so very sad
But those moments we spent together
Were the best I ever had~
But now you walk with God
With angels at your side,
Beautiful gardens now surround you
That fills heaven's wondrous sky~
Time will go on without you
But your love will always have a part
Of warm and loving memories
That I will always treasure in my heart~

This really touched me and my girlfriends heart alot. Very deeply in a feeling that we all possess, understand and sometimes wish not to have to go to. Our hearts go out to you. Lovely poem.

A stunning and very heartfelt poem for your dear mother. I'm sure she knew in life how very much you loved her. It has been many many years since I lost my mom (I was seventeen) but the memories and the love for her never seem to fade. I'm so glad you were able to share a long life together. Hugs to you. :o) CC

Loss is a terible thing. I had never found the words I needed to say, your words are soft in there rythem. Simply beautiful my dear.
Hon.. you are just a wonderful penner of poem. Isn't it ironic that beauty as this comes from sadness? I feel your heart ache like a lump in my throat I can't swallow..even more so now, then when you first lost her. One thing I want you to know is that I do enjoy your poetry very very much. It's very well done and beautiful.
a wonderful tribut and touching poem for your mother! it's still very painful for you, but there will come another time and only time can heal our wounds! many hugs, Susan! ;o)

Such loving and beautiful words for your mother. Many prayers for you :( She's only as far away as your heart. She and I shared the same birthday :)
such a beautiful dedication to your mother, write on brave soul!
Oh, sweetie, we are NEVER ready to say "Goodbye". Not if we had a million years...I wish there was something I could say to help, but I know I can't. I am just here. Know that as time passes, the loss you feel doesn't go away, but the pain loses it's edge. Each day that passes brings you closer to the time when you will quit crying and mostly remember the good times. I am so sorry, and this was so beautiful.
It's probably the most beautiful poem you've ever written, Susan. All of them are lovely, but this one is so full of love, and yet sorrow too. Your mom sounds like a beautiful person. Very deeply sorry for your loss.
It's been well over a year for me and I still grieve for my wife. It's very hard to go on when you lose someone so close. Eating a meal you remember was her fave. Watching a show, same thing.. It's hard.. My heartfelt sympathies to you Susan and your family. A most wonderful memorial poem above dear friend. I'm sure when you two meet again, the reunion will be a most joyful one. Blessings to ya and take care. Get some sleep and watch your weight! Time will lessen the pain. (I keep telling myself that, still waiting..) Dave :^)
susan?? did I tell you that my sister who I lost a few years back was named Pauline? well yes and she was not just my sister but a great friend indeed like you to your mom and in time the hurt gets less,in time we realize they who have left would not want us to be saddened and we have to go on until like dave mentiones we meet again: I'm here for you sis!! always love evie...and lots of hugs!
I love my mother and I cannot think of living without her, so I wont say that I understand your pain but your words touched me and I really am gona give a big hug to my mom when I get back home. May God bless you and your mother. She will be really proud to have you as a loving daughter.
Dear Susan, I am really very sad to know that your mom went there. We have only one mom and we feel a big emptiness when we meet ourselves alone especially that you were very close to her. My English is not rather good to express all that I feel but know that I am in thoughts with you during these days of mourning which are always difficult to live. God is with you I am sure of it. Courage Susan, I kiss you.Your poem is absolutely marvellous and so wonderfully written your mother is surely very proud of you :)
Sorry dear from the heart of sadness does such poetry spring hugz
Having lost my own Mother not so long ago, it has taken me much courage to comment on here Susan, but that doesn't take me away from my real point of offering you my sincere empathy and a big HUG! God bless you and believe me, it does get better and you start remembering more of times when you must have spent so many enjoyable hours, sharing secrets, sadness and successes with your Mom. I'm sure she is there for you right now. Take care, my good friend. Sincerely, Steve
Wow, shivers up the back of my neck. I'm deeply sorry for your loss and can only tell you it does get better in time, but you never stop crying, and maybe you shouldn't, it shows how much a loved one affected your life, how close they were, how precious. My mom loved to write poetry. She was also born in 1918. I lost her in 1989, 9 months after my father. I miss them so much even now, but I always remember the good times. Maybe our moms are in heaven right now discussing their daughters and exchanging poetry. Love and prayers to you, God Bless! Kim
such a pretty pic, and poem too, hugs, we are fine, kids are keeping me busy, hang in there kiddo, your friend, ann
