Leftovers of a palmtree ? :)) EXCELLENT !!!
Nature is like the ultimate artist isn't she?
Excellent POV, very abstract! It does look like parts of a palm tree or one of those plants where the leafs curl off like that.
i'm not sure of the plant name, but it's the remains of a high desert plant found outside Santa Fe, New Mexico. i found it on my father-in-laws property when i visited there.
I see that our paths have crossed once more. Here you are certainly beginning to approach the true meaning of abstract. Not only are we in much closer and more focused on the subject, we can go in even closer and get into the dynamics of the plants structure. This way the shapes become unclear and it is at that point we have an abstract in the making. Even though the meaning of abstract in painting and photography differ on several points, they agree on one major issue and that is not being able to tell right away what it is. By striping the objects identy we get to the core of the object and enter a world of abstract. In this image there is one area that works in the terms I have discussed. By starting at the bottom right hand corner, we go up 2/3, cut across 1/2 way. This area becomes abstract as the remainder of the image is information we do not need. It is information that identifies the object. Over the other posting, this is a huge improvment and deserves a vote. V
