Description
This is my first still-life composition. Originally I put it in 'mixed media' because I used a filter in photoshop to get the quality I was looking for. But it didn't really belong there,(and was almost completely ignored,OUCH!). I hope you will accept my work, here,in this forum, because ALL my work, including my oils, are based in my love of photography.

Have no idea which filter it was, but effect is amazing. Great composition and colors. And I love how this rose looks like :-)
I am one of those who is suspicious of photoshop filters BUT - sometimes their use is justified and the result is excellent! Bravo.
Very taken with this, love the "old master" oil paint feel to it. However I'm going nuts (alas, a short journey) trying to figure out what the large white object is (left of center).
Splendid picture! I have the same difficulty that b2amphot.
