Description
It came from above: I'm still standing over the hot lava tube while taking this picture. You can't see the lava's main vent from here but you can see its destruction path. This is a fraction of the over view of destruction caused by this lava flow. Hawaii is ever increasing in size. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Wondering if you ever saw am eruption. This is so cool and glad you showing it.
This may sound kind of funny, but as I received ebsmooth comments, I was eating some chocolate chip cookies........lol. Did he read my mind? lol
dBgrafix. Yes, I've seen many eruptions. Destruction of Kapoho town. Kilauea iki which shot lava about 1,900 ft high, many times Halema'uma'u and many other areas of Kilauea Volcano Area including this latest eruption Pu'u O'o. Mauna Loa's eruption was pretty scary for my town Hilo, it stopped short 4 miles before Hilo. Thanks for asking Doug. Aloha
I always lke how you caured the lava formation... fluid and solid at the same time... aloha to you..
another shot that so completely amazes me!!! i see so many shapes and figures in this lava, and it feels like it's not possible this could be Earth. i can't even imagine seeing an eruption, let alone having one come so close to where i live. bet you have a lot of stories! excellent and incredible photography! aloha!
