Description
I did a couple of years in Yuma Territorial Prison and got out in the spring of 1883. A few jobs came my way, but nothing lasting. One night, I was walking back into town and kept looking up in the bright night sky. There were so many stars out that I swear they cast a shadow. Laying down a while, just to look at them, I could actually feel the stars moving around in a big arc, which someone once explained was the rotation of the Earth. There was a lot of thinking to do, looking up at that sky. What are stars? What are we here for? What happens when we die? Is God real?
The full moon came up and quickly crossed the sky. I think I fell asleep, but I saw the moon cross over again, but it was bright, and I knew it was the sun. The sky was light blue and then dark again. The stars spun in a blur and the moon passed. It kept doing this for good long while. I was gripping the sand, because it felt like I was going to slide off some spinning plate. My head hurt and things got fuzzy and then I woke up again. It was daylight and things were at a silent standstill. I got up and started east for town, but things seemed different. There was a barbed wire fence where there shouldn't have been any. Off in the distance, something shiney was moving along a road, faster than any stagecoach, or horse ever went. There was a sign over across the field and as I came around the side, I looked at it and pondered the words.
Yuma Airport- established 1947
That's odd, I thought. What's an airport?

I ain't tellin' how I did this. You'll have to figure it out. No postwork. Starbits for the sky. The moon is a 2d disc

Great idea very well transformed in picture !
Interesting piece of work.
Absolutely cool effect! Love it!
Oh, you took a sphere as mirror, right? Well done, I like it very much!
Awesome story! Rumple Stiltskin(s?) for the 21st century!!! Can I guess maybe everything is mapped out on and in three or more metaballs?? (=
Pretty cool! Lense effect?
is it a spere in panamoric view, with some cool reflections?....cool render!
This is beautiful and I love the story that goes with it (as always)! In the Bryce forum I have posted a message and an image about my take on how you did this.
This is awesome!
If there's no postwork it cant be Polar coordinates plug-in(rectangular to polar) so...??? Perhaps two lenses with different refraction indices?...terrains in a tube?? I'm so curious to tray myself. Love the effect!
looks like the camera is facing a metallic sphere, the imaging reflecting in it.
Beautiful pic, love the fish-eye lens view.
