A couple days ago I was asked to light a candle for an old friend who recently passed away. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I find no grieving within me nor any sense of loss. I do find traces though of disappointment. I do not like seeing lives ending so prematurely, nor do I like losing people who I know could have done better. I will not conciously be the criticising judge of anyone's life though. I will say goodbye to this old friend with one last wish on my lips. May you find, in death, the peace you never found in life.
