Description
Again another rainy day!
And that means to stroll around by car, this time deciding to visit Kilmartin, one of the most important historic places in Europe with evidence of settlements dating back to 6000BC.
Here a view onto Kilmartin Church from the cemetery in the back.
The church was built in 1834-5 to replace a church of 1798.
The village sits at the heart of Kilmartin Glen, and there are at least 150 prehistoric sites and 200 other ancient monuments within six miles of it. These include burial cairns, rock carvings, and standing stones.
Thanks a lot as always for your interest and all kind of comments! ;o)))

great shot, beautiful frame and very very nice postwork!
Excellent pov on this shot; makes you wonder whether the arrangement of tombstones reflects the social standing in life, with the good and the great looking down on us humbler souls.
