Description
Just east of me, here in sunny Southern California, they grow avocadoes. Rows and rows of trees, over rolling hills and some going of steep slopes. There's nothing better than taking a bag of potato chips into a field and squishing fresh avos into gaucamole. Just kidding.
***
765 lo-poly trees and 475 2d trees. The trees are supposed to be more stylized, than realistic. Used Kyoto Color plugin (a neat freebie from flamingpear.com) and a little posterization, in Photoshop. This came out close, in style, to how I used to paint.

The painted look and texture is really fascinating, it seems to tap into a child like wonder cartoon type appeal. Very cool how the fields seem to run on forever. Hey, I hear avocados get tall! I have one in my window, surviving the winter in a plastic cup of water...it's about 3 feet tall now with 4 fat leaves on top..LOL (Yes, tooth pick placed on either end of an avocado pit, balanced in a cup of H20 will result in a plant, but now what do you do with it?) Fantastic work. I can only second what Dinhi wrote!
Maybe its a real place at California, but its also another of your wonderfull and crazy surrealistic ideas.
I really like the look of this. The style is very unusual for Bryce work. It's refreshing. Beautiful job!!!
Man this one is really on the money. Would really love to know more about the creative process used in this one. You have given it the child like quality as seen in childrens books.... How did you do it? Excellent work as always.
extraordinary artwork and sense of style.
Excellent use of poseterisation. How do you manage to be so creative and prolific? turning green with envy
I miss California; I used to live there. Cool image.
