Wow, modelling so far is impressive. How about adding little hydrolic pistons from the toe-claws to the 'feet' as well. If you need any ideas, check out mrdodobird's gallery and the Imperial Walkers from the Empire Strikes Back.

you're getting the hang of it. I'd increase the size of the feet, or even extrude region and make them bigger on the bottom. Remember, they have to hold up all the weight..of whatever's going on top. You're definately getting the hang of this.
