Description
Thanks to Rids for this terrain: 'Cygnus-Prime' which you can download at 'TerraNuts'.
For some reason, the water took on a pattern which was not visible in the preview. I was surprised to see at in the final render.
Thanks for your comments on my last image 'Dead Horse Point'.

Oh Bob!! This is really a fantastic image! Wonderful terrain and pov on this one, the water is just fabulous! I really love the reflection shine, so realistic! Bravo! :) V
Far out this is a fantastic image....V
wonderful colors, mood & POV - happy new year, Bob
Superb! Excellent water and mood!
Excellent work !!!
Beautiful PoV and surfaces.
This is wonderful! Super terrain, POV, surface, water and atmo/light and colors! Brilliant combination and mood!
Bob this is again a fantastic work. I love the water reflections and the surface is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the water too and in combination with the mood, surface and colours, give a very interesting planet-world!
Nevermind the water pattern it is still fantastic work with a lot of qualities Bob! I do like it as it is. Exl.light and mood!
Amazing the muddy colour on the water! agree with the strange pattern, may be this is a 2 step resize? i'm notice that resize the image in two step and use 2 sharp pass, give to my render a grid similar to those i see there also in the bitmap image.
Outstanding Bob I love the pov , the terrain and water gorgeous and masterful work just totally awsome *V
xlt render
Bob, I like the water at most!!
I like a lot terrain, atmo & surface work, water could be improved (but I don't know how !)
i love that muddy water... oh boston your my home! or something like that. incredible texture on that muddy misusip!
Agree with Olivier, the water still have the "parallel wave" problem, but the mood is perfect.
Fantastic image. Marvelous work.
Good dof with excellent surfacing and lighting; yeh, shame about the Terragen flaw on the water.
Always a pleasure to view one of your "Master" rendering.. This one is Excellent as all of yours are..
superb lighting and lovely muddy water..perhaps you can eliminate the Terragen flaw by moving the cam elevation/pov just a bit?
Wonderful image Bob...I'm still convinced the pattern lines in water are caused by a high distort by terrain water setting in SoPak. For some reason SoPak water (distort by terrain) picks up the pattern of the terrain textures. I use a very low or even no, distort by terrain water setting. Looks like you used a high tile setting for one or more of your textures, around 1000 or so... :)
A beautiful terrain and water is muddy like everything else around this place right now. Hey that atmosphere is outstanding, A totally fine image!!
The terrain, dry rock/sand, muddy water, and atmosphere all work in a great combination, excellent work!
Excellent use of 'Cygnus-Prime' Bob! I'm glad we have so many artists willing to share these fabulous terrains!
The place certainly has a meditative feel
Excellent terrain and fantastic mood in this image!
Excellent atmosphere..!! cool terrain and light..!!! well done..*** V ***
Agree with Mark completely about Water Surface. I have used this terrain many times and you could find more Depth (Maybe try lowering the terrain Hgt some)? Try using more layers in your dirt and rock with out overlays and see what you come up with. Terragen is capable of realistic surfaces without the use of overlays.
Beautiful render !!! Xlt texture ;)
