Description

Ahh... Doncha just hate family portraits? You gotta get all dolled up in clothes that suck the life from you coz theyre so tight - and only after u starved yourself for a month so u could wear that perfect dress u bought during labor day sales. Dont even get me started on the kids... they never want to sit still, all roaming around the studio, touching everything.... and theres always that one problem child that has to be a lil badass and grill the camera during the shot, thus ruining the entire pic! Then u get the pix back and u realize... u were having a bad hair day the whole time. doh! Not to mention u forgot to smile in all the hulabaloo.... a wasted Saturday, no doubt. lol on a more serious note (well sorta) yanno I dont know whats up with Daz.... every panther they seem to make ends up looking like a big fat black blob when rendered. Dont they know panthers are shiny? Hmph. I mean, ud think with the big cat being so awesome as it is, they could do better with the panther/jag tex... but alas, its still a big black blob. So I made my own black shiny texture for the Panther, which I think makes him more realistic. Would it be so hard for Daz to create a realistic looking panther skin? I mean, if I can do it.... surely they can - afterall... Im just some tarded chick who talks too much. Slackers. Anyhoo... If anyone wants the panther tex for the millenium big cat, let me know and Ill zip it up and send it to ya via ims sometime tomorrow (not gonna sell it or anything.... Daz pretty much wiped out any prospects of that with their big cat overkill lol) Answer to yesterdays trivia question: Congrats to Hecate61, for the most amusing and well deserved win ever. After multiple tries at guessing what the faux pas in the last image was, she finally figured it out, which is quite the feat considering how obscure it was. LOL WTG!!! And since I know yall are prolly wondering what the answer was, Ill post it. Cleopatra ruled over Alexandria Egypt, during the Ptolemaic dynasty (I believe it was circa the 26th dynasty, but dont quote me on that, Im terrible with dates even for being an Egyptologist) but in the image I posted yesterday, she is depicted as being in El Jizah (or Giza, Egypt) with the great pyramid and the Sphinx, which is fairly far south of the coastal city of Alexandria. Oh and btw, most of you were right about the column being Grecian (or Doric) but alas, u had to get both parts to win. Yeah.... I know... it was a hard one... but yanno, I gotta make ya work for it! ;op and well... theres always a chance at retritbution today.... and speaking of.... Todays Trivia: Depicted above is the most famous temple in all of Egypt, the Temple of Karnak. But why is it famous? What makes it so special? If u can tell me.... well, u might just win a prize from my store. Im having too much fun with the Egyptian games - too bad I cant bring Senet into it!! LOL Alas, this will be the final round for a bit.... need to spread it out more than I have been. So this is yer last chance. Credits: Daz Millenium big cat, with my panther tex thats better than the one they include in the set! :snorts at my Leo-like gloating: Favorite character again from I dunno - her messy head is done by moi Children of the Nile for MSD and Treasures of Egypt naos shrine, made really wide into golden columns. Cottonmouth snakes from Venom by me (not released yet) The stone bench is a prop from somewhere - I think Daz - the cloth hanging over it is remapped with my tiger fur, coz they didnt have plaid in Egypt (::commentator speaks:: little was it known that ancient egyptians were the first people to wear flannel shirts, which their redneckian and grunge rockin' ascendants adopted as a fashion statement many centuries later - lol) Also palms, from somewhere. Ok I talk too much.... sorry for the book, yo... if u got thru all that, mad props to u.... ok... shutting up now. :-x

Never mind the pic, which is great anyway, but your commentary is fabulous!!!! ROFLMAO!!!! I promise not to enter the contest again...not fair for the others! :D Anyway, I agree about the panther coat needing to be shiny. Glad to see you overcame that little oversight on Daz's part! Clever woman!!!!

Another wonderful image. Loving the Egyptian motif, although my head still hurts from the last one. Love the blurb for the picture - isn't that always the way.

Excellent work on the image and the text. I am getting to these out of order, but it's very interesting, reading the trivia answers...
