Independent of the title and subject, I get a very pure feeling from this on an aesthetic level. It's an interesting juxtaposition when considered in the context of the meaning, she's showing a lot of doubt in her eyes and isn't yet ready to trust. Like it :-)
nothing to add... i like the "link" between old and young between things that (probably) happened and things that are... great pic gun...
easy when younger, harder as one gets older & has been taken advantage of too many times... powerful work, like the layering of these images & feel of it in the b&w :]

I'm impressed with the depth of thought behind this image Gun. This really leads my mind down some pretty dark paths while interpreting what I am seeing. Wonderful as ALWAYS.
Gun with such hands I will trust even what is not to be trusted...The B&W is magical and the expression of the actor is really intrerpretating your title...deep and grave and serene.:-)
This brings 2 words in my mind straight away: lost and winter! To me, there's a feeling of a snow storm! I love the expressive pose and expression of the model, it definitely goes with the title! A beautiful image Gun, full of meanings, feelings and emotions but also open to interpretation!

You are so clever when expressing those deep feelings - you manage to capture the viewer into your picture, and fortunately you have the skill to let them go too. Highly symbolic.You have a way of revealing the burdens that can cover one like the scars(inner or physical)which we feel/see each day by our response to relationships etc. These remove trust,cause our distrust and leave us unable to fully participate.An exceptional image that enable others to understand each time they scar their child etc.there is an inner memory that remains into adulthood.
