Description
These trees were much smaller, some perhaps saplings when Thomas Jefferson decided to build his second home, Poplar Forest, near Lynchburg, Virginia.
Old Sentinels, standing and appearing much different from the same species we see today..since local trees simply are not so aged.
Jefferson's second home at Poplar Forest is under reconstruction after private ownership until about 5 years ago. A corporation now researches and digs and restores the property.
Blessing and Peace. TomDart.

B+W makes this look amazing, what textures!!!! Super compo, and beautiful highlights and shadows. Gorgeously done =)
Did you use infrared film for this shot? Nice work...if only those trees could talk what tales they could probably tell.
