Description
all the flower pictures i've posted so far (or almost all) have been extremely well received, so i see no reason in cutting the supply short.
we currently have two of these flowers in our garden. one is a deep dark red (which i don't really like) and the other one is this one.
now, the controversy in this flower's beauty rises in its name and in its perceived appearance. the name is Beard Iris, which suggests that the hairy-looking part looks like a beard. for some reason, to my dad (and he insists on this) it looks like something to do with a woman's genitals :p
so there you go, a controversial beauty brought to you through my eyes and the camera's lense :)
