Description
*I see when walkin
scenes of life,
I see when stopping
they're all like shine.
My eyes see what you wouldn't think
could catch your breath
in moments free...
So let my eyes disveil a world
you are not guessing
is just your own.

A new Rosity member for you all :) Please welcome Kimberly, aka Lalani "Kim" for many here. She's one of the most talented member of Photography Gallery, "Macro Princess" to those who admire her extraordinary talent in capturing the microcosm we are often too blind and busy to get fascinated from.
This is the way I have decided to present her, like an ancient Roman beauty.
She sent me 3 pictures less than 2 weeks ago and although I were really taken by work, I couldn't stop myself from drawing her immediately. All of the pics were beautiful, and I think I am gonna use them also for some Photoshop work, but what moved me at this interpretation of her were her beautiful eyes, so intense really were calling me out to fix the impression of "eternity" in a language that could hit. Eternity for me has many relations with glorious image of Ancient Rome...therefore I decided Lalani would have been lovely also in ancient dress and hairdo.
Hope you can like, and hope she can too.
It has been a pleasure to draw her beautiful face.

Excellent done!Fantastic Art !! cordialement Alain
The cats are ouside sitting on the ruins. Here in the gallery we can finally interogate one of the puzzles. Why are there 23 Roman letters of the alphabet? The pearls invoke the ibis.
very nice work :)
I really like the classical aspect you've given her! Hi Kim! Glad to meet you!
wow Meli another gorgeous drawing lovely peom what a wonderful and exciting combination **V
The left part of her nose looks a bit weird because of how you used the light and shadow there. You made it look like there is another lightsource close to her nostrils and that she has double noseflares. Other than that, good use of the pencils ;)
What a beautiful gift for your macro queen. Lovely work!
i alwyas enjoy seeing what ur going to create next..exquisite face she has and u captured it so perfectly...hi lalani..nice to meet ya and Welcome to Ren!
Wow! What a beautiful drawing! The way you did her hair and the folds in the dress are just so wonderfully done! Excellent work!
Fantastic! Beautifully Done!
Excellent portrait here! Excellent job!!
This has to be among your best portraits. Two things I want to mention straight away. One, that you're using much more subtle outlines now - much more considered - so you're not defining everything by such hard lines. Two, I prefer your signature now, much more subtle, it doesn't distract from the drawing anymore! Of course the hair is exquisite once again. Overall everything is much more subtle and it works better for that. Love your treatment of her, she's very beautiful :-)
Hmm... Simple yet very expressive. Love that subtle detailing. Nice work. Your drawing skills are improving rapidly :)
The eyes really draw one in. Excellent work!
Oh dear, you are really such a talented person. Excellent drawing as always..

Excellent work m'lady...you do exceptionally well turning peoples photos into works of fantasy~wonder if you could do us one of President Bush as the Devil,I think you could just add horns and the guys would be twins;)
So great! I admire you skills, Meli ... pencil sketching was never really something to me (that's why I don't do it any more since I got ma tablet lol) ... beautiful and amazing as always, Meli! Go, Meli, go!
Ehy quando pubblicheri miei manuali di giochi di ruolo ti chiederquest'immagine, ok? Non ti dimenticare! :o) (tradotto in termini tecnici... "excellent image"!!!)

amazing job on the hair. Really flows!
So in your mind's eye you added these pearls and ornaments? It looks consistant with the rest of the picture too. Awesome job on the shading and the eyes in particular were like beams of heavenly sunshine. I think your drawing is becoming more confident. Well done sweet stuff.
Awesome Portrait Meli!! vote
