This is a work in progress...Dream12 (Karen) was kind enough to share her file for "Pearly Paths" which I found intriguing for it's geometric patterns. The formula was one I had not seen yet and states in the notes it is a work in progress and a little buggy...no problems here...So thanks Karen, this is for you!
I became rather obsessed with it and this is the final so far of about...Oh...75 variations...and counting.I heavily tweaked the same formula and .ucl and added the transformations.
As always, Thanks! for the hits and comments, they are really truly appreciated!
Have a great weekend!
Chris

Excellent and sublime. 75? An epic journey. I love the patterns. Perhaps try a new background color? But what do I know. :)
puzzling and fine :)
Your obsession paid off in spades, Chris! Wow... this is really kewl!! I have no doubt that Karen will love it, too! Excellence!! :)
reminds me of escher! very sublime! :)
It reminds me of the mathematical work of M.C.Escher.Great work.
geometric fluffy clouds above a sharp rendered surface, excellent work. RS
I really like the pattern and gradient, but I agree with stbc about a new background. excellent fractal
I like the geometric textures....!! Excellent fractalwork.....!!!
Great 3D effect - without glasses!
Fantastic idea, Excellent work!
It is wonderful to see the complex geometrical patterns so neatly placed upon the surface of a sphere ! V
yes I can see the other side very interresting to look at. I do the same thing on some of my works [not that many]
Fantastic sphere (I agree that it deserves a differente background).
certainly a woozer excellent chris **
Fantastic image, Chris! Love all the patterns and colors! The orb effect is great too!
Excellent hyperbolic fractal, there is lots of details in there. Great work !
I finally got to the gallery and had to find this first. lol My god Chris!! It is absolutely perfect, even the background (IMO). I can't believe you got this out of Pearly Paths. I just LOVE it!! WOW! I'm sending you everything I have to play with. lol Thank you Chris, it is truly exquisite!
Very cool patternplay, and I like the colors.
TRIPLE EXCELLENT!! :)
Agree with fractalinda !!!!!!!
I have never seen anything like this before! Breathtaking work, and the detail is fantastic! (o= V
Excellent... really in a polar opposite of the dark star destroyer from Starwars kinda way!!! (the light star creater...hmmm)
Fantastic work!! The patterns are so beautiful, and the differnt layers are so well applied!! Excellence!! V
very cool spherical design. Excellent artwork.
Excellent work!!
Fantastic sphere! Love all those details, and the colors are pretty! Very nice work! (:
Beautiful, but I don't think the background color is really helping show off the image to its best effect. How about cream?
