Description
There were five blind men who were introduced to an elephant. The Christian felt His trunk and said the elephant was like unto a snake. The Jew felt His ear and said "Oi! The elephant is like a piece of leather." The Muslim felt His side and said "Infidels! There is only one elephant, and it is like a wall!" The Hindi felt His leg and declaired, "You are wrong, the elephant is like a tree growing to reach the Atman." And finally the Buddhist felt His tail, rolled his blind eyes at the others, and said, "How can you not tell that the elephant is like a rope, so that one may climb to Nirvana."
A mystic overheard their conversation, looked at the elephant and said, "You are all wrong, and you are all right."
The five blind men all agreed that the mystic was crazy and they all went their separate ways.
