My family comes from a tiny US town called Cromwell. It is one of those country towns where weddings and funerals are major social events. The cemetery tombstones also seem to be favorite posing places for photographs--at least for my family anyway and they have been in the area about 200 years. The picture of the Widow Cooper at Mr. Cooper's funeral is made-up. Neither person really exists. Mr. Cooper's name is a combination of several ancestors' names.
