Description
First Steps
The first steps on a distance world; the Mars Lander USS Chesapeake sets down at the mouth of the Dao and Niger Valles. The model was created in Bryce 5 from scratch; the astronauts were also created also in Bryce. Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on my work.
Cheers,
David

A seperate remote rocket with living quarters is on its way, right? Very good modeling you've done.
I always enjoy your Sci-Tech modeling and Mars postings. Rough & rocky terrain there.
Cool Mars lander, keep up the good work.
Nice model work, I love the landscape with the little rocks :)
Excellent work. It looks like the astronauts are almost casual about their work. It has that air about it.
Nice !
My first dissapointment! Terrain looks too sharp and colour is too bright. Hills in background too rounded. Lander and astronaut up to your usual superb standard however, but a bit lost in the overstrong surroundings.
Great modeling, even the astronauts were made in Bryce? Well done, but I have to agree with BobRixon: the terrain looks too clear. Ok, I haven't been on Mars, but I think the scale of the terrain-texture should be smaller. Anyway, great POV and idea. Keep it up!
Excellent modeling! A fine piece.
Yet another brilliant realistic view of the future! Excellent work!
nice modeling......!
Cool Mars landing scene; I especially like the astronaut figure
very believable models! I'm very impressed that you made the astronauts in Bryce too!
It's a very rarre picture You know.... Usualy You dive in spaces :) Well done!
Excellent indeed. Here's to the dream!
