Description
This image is the first of five of a project I am working on. The render took a little more than 81 hours to complete because of the high quality settings and water; hence, my absence from the gallery and ability to make comments but once a week. Hopefully the project will be completed within four weeks and I'll be back to normal again.
There is an artifact in the middle of the sun which now, is the second time that I have run into this anomaly. If you have had this happen to you, I would like to know about it.
Thank you for visiting; and, for your comments and suggestions.

OH Bob 81 hours! Geeze!!:) But what a splendid image! The color of that sky is so gorgeous and the water breathtaking! Excellent render and job on this! Looking forward to your next! V :)
Now this is one heck of a vista Bob!! Water is as realistic as it gets!! Sky is superb also!! One heck of a fine scene you have created!!
Wonderful!!! What a nice realistic scene. This image is very simple but I think this is one of your best works. V
Bob, I don't see any artifact, maybe the image is too small to see it. All I see is a fantastic render, beautiful warm colours and soothing atmosphere.V
Ficitation !!! l'eau est vraiment rliste et l'atmosphe participe l'ambiance reposante de cette superbe composition ;D. v
very nice! the reflection is awesome!
Wonderful work !
i can remember, that once i had a black point in the middle of the sun months ago. you are very patient Bob - 81 hours are a very long time for a render :) - but the result is fantastic, excellent work my friend!!
a very serene image, most excellent realism
W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L work!!
Bob! You are the toughest! :-) I really adore this water! Fantastic atmo and mood aswell!!
Water and atmo are some of the finest I ever saw !! Excellent render and oustanding work on this image ! And - the sun artefact is a strange thing, that happened very often to me during rendering such wide skys with thin clouds. There seems to be a little black spot in the sun that crys for postwork ... ;)
Wonderful atmosphe, lighting and water! Super Stimmung!
I like a lot the beautiful colors! A perfect composition: Bravo Bob!
Wonderful image Bob...the soft colors and view make this image very relaxing to look at. The only time I have artifacts in the sun is when I use unsharp mask by John McClosky while rendering. Excellent work+++
that beats my 75 hours Bob, I tip my hat to you :-D
Holy cow, this is completely fantastic, Bob! And 81 hours?? That takes patience!! Bravo to you for that and for this beautiful render! It is so realistic...I love the water and grand vista of the scene. One of your best for sure! V
excellent realism .well..done.VOTE
This is very different and I appreciate all of it.
WELL, I submit that this is worth the wait. One of the most crisp images ever posted here to my recollection. Ultra realistic artwork, which imho is the purpose and heart of Terragen, and this image is (for me) right at the pinnacle. Perfect water (satin sheen is awesome), perfect atmo and colors. Top POV, cool terrain and just right surfaces, therefor. Bob, this is magnificent. (V and FAV)
Bob, it is so wonderful, I love the soft mood and the quality is 1A! I wish I can swim there ;-) V
I just love the clouds...overall a excellent image!! tell me, what system are u rendering on? 81 hours is a way long time =)
Wow...super smoooooooth water, gorgeous colors and love the hint of bliss!....81 hours?...OUCH!
