Rolling hills of red clay
Stretching along the highway
Reaching for the dreams that were
Years ago when I was young
Dreams were strong within my heart
Sharing love was the best part
With someone close to ride with me
Along the road to where it leads
Beyond the hopes and dreams we shared
Hidden fears were everywhere
No one said you had to care
For anyone forever
Love is never close at hand
To those who cannot understand
That dreams are only dreams and yet
When love arrives we soon forget
Dreams were strong within my heart
