Description
W.I.P, I was trying to make a shark swim, but I had a hard time finding reference material on the web, regarding their motion. So I winged it! There is something about it that works, and something about it that doesn't.
All suggestions are welcome! If I get this sorted out, I will incorporate it into one of my animations.
Thanks for your comments!
Have a great Monday!

Hah! excellent work!! This is very nicely done. Where is the man in his mouth? lol... Keep up the cool animations!
EXCELLENT JOB...as for the problem...hmmm I think the general motion is good...but it needs to be a tad quicker and more fluent maybe...seems a little choppy although that could be rendo's fault....the only other thing...is maybe a bit of a larger bend...a little farther out from sided to side on the tail...and if possible a little less on the head. I really LOVE THE ANIMATION...personally I think you do a FABULOUS JOB ON THESE :O) EXCELLENT!!!!! :O)
Ha, ha...funny! Excellent done!!!
The tail motion looks good. I agree with a bit less on the head. If I happen into any decent refs, I'll send you a link. Too bad you're not around here. I taped a bunch of shark week on the Discovery Channel a couple of years ago for my son.
cool...I think the head moves too much or maybe it is that it is too regular...but cool...I like the animation
I love animation, but I have no clue as to how to do it!!! EXCELLENT work!!
Nice work --I just think if he made the same hula while moving forward and circling --I think it'd be perfect--instant shark--now just add water !
good work :) i happened to be looking for movement reference for animals yesterday and came across this site... http://www.freestockfootage.com/ you need quicktime to view it... its not much but its something if you still need some shark swimming references.
Wowwwww Impressive+++++ Hugssss Linda :-)
looks really good your animation. excellent Eric. !!!!!!!!!! #:) !!!!!!!!!!
Looks very good! only needs a leg in the mouth!V!
Hehe!!! Very cool once more!! I agree about a 'lil less motion on the head though! Other than that, a great piece of work my dear Eric! ;)
hehe... he's even smiling at me!!!! excellent anim testing bud!!! :o)
This is really cool.. the shark looks very real =) great work!!
The Tail movement is good but you need to add a few more key frames to slow it down after each left to right movement. And also the torso neck and head do not move as much as you have them. They do move but very gracefully and slower. Most of the movement is in the tail muscles after the Dorsol section on the model. Its a shame daz cant add a few more bones to this model as i think it defo needs it...Take a look at my gallery and you'll see some sharks i have created with the daz model and Great White Tex map from Daz. Also when the arm fins are down like you have them that is a show of aggression from a shark...when a shark is cruzing through the water wondering about its arm fins are set more laterally.
Looks real enuff to me!
Trés bien, mais il semble encore un peu "Mechanic", mêwme si je ne comprends absolument rien à la techinique :-)) Il faut ajouter de l´eau bleu! :-))
