Description
Fly me to an island
Fly me to a far-away place
Fly over the ocean
To bask in nature's grace
See beauty unexpected
See beauty so divine
See beauty unapparelled
There, for nature, I build my shine

this is on 4-mile beach which is just to the side of Port Douglas in northern Queensland, Australia. i have a couple other awesome shots of the beach, but either family members or myself are present in those photos, so i doubt i'll be posting any of them.
i'm still stunned by the amount of responses my last few photos have received. too many for me to go through and individually thank everyone the way i'd like to, so i'll throw a big thanks to all you awesome people who took the time to look and post :)
unless otherwise specifie, all my photos i post here are taken with a Nikon Coolpix 5700. it's a truly awesome camera, even though the auto-focusing isn't always all that great

The silence speaks... Great photograph!
Need holiday :-) super landscape capture!!!
Such a beautiful place, you are lucky to have such wonders. I bet the air is very clean there. Great shot, it really shows the solitude and peace of the location.
Very appealing landscape! Would love to stroll around here!
What a beautiful and serine capture, wish i was there !! sigh Excellent work, vote !!
I love the feeling of open space of this stunning piece of the world ... "Fly me to a far-away place" >>> what I always dream :-))
Nice horizon and depth of field here... we go from one faraway place out to sea another. Cool. Haven't seen the port yet. PS - I get the same autofocusing probs with my digcam somtimes too? Oh well... back to the laboratory master... lurch, lurch LOL
A wonderful feel of freedom to it! A dream!
