The word "loss" equals desolation for me. So the sole title of your render causes me pain, though the image makes up for it, paradoxically, at least up to a certain extend, because of the tenderness it communicates. A beautiful, sad work, Gun.

the title suggests the baby is not really there, the mother looks quiet & withdrawn... the texture & color, antiqued & aged as in a memory... emtionally felt & beautifully done :]
