Description
I have been struggling with meta-balls in Bryce! Meta-balls are amorphous blobs that when they are close to one another automatically blend into one another. you can do really cool things with them, as Englewolf has shown (Expertly!!) I have pulled large chunks of hair out, trying to figure out how to work with these critters!! Finally I understand!! This is nothing special as images go, but it represents a door that was locked, that is now open for me! Now I will try to come up with something more interesting!
And just for you Joe: 339 metaballs 47 min Render!
have a great weekend all!

Thats really unusual and for some reason I really like it...good job.
A lot of reasons of why this is excellent. First, the metaball modeling. Second, the use of mostly negative metaballs. Third, the careful balancing of light, color, and texture. Good job!!! A whole new world is open to you!!! Lets see some more.
congrats on your victory !!! ;-) can't wait to see more..you did very well on this one !!!
Good texturing, now your have metaballs sorted, there is a whole new world of modelling available.
Everything I make out of metaballs looks like a lump of clay. :-/ It's not the image itself that makes this excellent, it's the accomplishment behind the image! bravo!!
Cool image, and texturing. I never did much with metaballs, but if they make you want to pull out large chunks of hair I better pass... I have no large chunks left!
Looks Special to me!!! EXCELLENT work and I'll have to find a tutorial on that myself!!!
Hmm... with ZSpheres --Biospheres---Metaballs there might be some cross over once you learn one the others are easier--and those globby things in TrueSpace might be the next thing to conquer--good work --congratulations on this delightful ball bearing cookie--mmmmmm B A L L B E A R I N G S !!!
Congrats !Bravo!!
I never did get Metaballs when I had Bryce, very cool that you got by the hurdle. Neat pattern on the object as well. Look forward to seeing what you do with it.
Like the float, the double-twisting vision, pearly skullcap, and pebbly brass. Meta-Bio-Blubble Bubblicious!
