Description
Happy Fathers Day to all..especially to those of you who rely on memories. The poem was written by Martha Benefield, (sugashak) in memory of her father, Clifford Simmons, my uncle, who is greatly missed and was such a wonderful man. She is pictured beside her father because for so many years, she, like so many women, was both Mother and Father to her children, and the children of others. There are those that did not deserve the blessing of being a dad...but for those who took up their slack, thank you. For my wife's dad, Charlie who we miss every day, Martha's dad, Clifford, and our GrandDad, we were greatly blessed. My dad is 80 now and still running strong. These men were our first window to the world, our mom's were our first window to home...May God help each of us be the greatest parent we can be, and forgive the mistakes of our own parents. Peace be with you!
