This is extremely interesting! Lots of different levels to look at and discover. The color is sharp and bright. Other POV's would be good too.
Nice work. By rough structure...I'm wondering if you mean bumpiness ontop of the colouration? Or do you mean variation in the materials themselves ie the spread of the colouration over the terrain? Look at some other planets which have similar results to those you desire. Also look through the forum messages for discussions that cover this ...or start a new thread asking for help. What you've done so far is looking good ;)
Hey Radolf...nice bit of planet building!...I think this might solve your problem...open the land material editor for your planet...open the material you're using...in the list of controls that appears on your right you need to change the displacement to a texture...now choose a new texture...click on "monofractal" and play with the "largest feature" and "result scale"..try this..LF 400....RS -100...with a little experimentation you should get the roughness you're looking for....Have fun!!
Welcome..this is a good start.. What is the "roughness" setting on your land textures? It looks like your material is a solid color and not a texture.making it a texture will add detail.. I think what you want would achieved by using a texture for the material displacement.. BTW, move the clouds above your terrain and the weird spots on the water will go away.. As AvidFlame suggested, the forum is a good place to ask specific questions
Looking really good. I like the materials on the round terrains. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
I actually quite like the plastic effect on the surface!
Many thanks for your helpfull comments!
