I'm not entirely convinced about this one myself, but a very good friend likes it and wants me to post it, so here it is...

What would we be without good friends ! I'm so glad you posted this. A superb suggestive cityscape, with a matching palette. Thanks for sharing this beauty !!
Reminds me of the golden age of skyscraper building. People racing to see who can build the tallest and the fastest. Also has Sydney opera house in there even though thats not a skyscraper. Excellent image.
don't want to be rude, to me it just doesn't say anything ,no mystery lerking any where . This picture say's mstery to me amoung all that unknown . Hope I didn't upset you. Not my intention
Great concept. Love it!
I like it. It definitely has an urban or maybe an industrial feel to it. Nice work.
A City from the future, very beautiful!!!
Very nice image, I'm glad you were persuaded to post it! Love the metallic colors!
Great cityscape, abstract and futuristic, a nightmare scenario of great beauty and form. Most impressive work!
Wonderful lighting and fabulous background, Simon :) I might have cropped it a bit higher, to eliminate the darkest area at the bottom, but still keeping the perspective.
I do like it although to me it suggests an apocalyptic cityscape. Its the dust in the air and the disintegration of the buildings...
wonderful city scape and I agree with Panny, crop the too dark, nothing saying, bottom and make the picture less high, it will give a sence of wideangle and create more interest. Hold on to that friend, he or she has a wonderful eye...
Simon, I am enjoying the atmosphere of this piece immensley particularly the beam of light and the unusual texture that seems to lift from the lighting. The contrasting sky accents with its smoothness and the colors are superb.. nice treat..
I wouldn't change a thing. Nicely done.
Simon, I agree with Panny, you could stand to loose some of the negative space at the bottom. I also agree that the wider image would give more of a sweeping feel. Other than that, you have a very impressive abstract cityscape.
Quite cool! You could try playing around with different croppings as suggested, but it works nicely for me as-is..
its so beautiful
I like it. Especially the dark sky with the light spots is really great.
Different for you, but very pleasing...I like the suggestion of a skyline, and the coloring.
Boy, I don't know... for my eye this is just about perfect! Great abstract!
I like it,the colouring is fine.
Beautiful and unusal work you certainly brought it all together excellent
Wonderful, so different and quite unique !!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!
This is beautiful, you sure have a gem of a friend there with a keen eye. Excellent work.
A magificent abstract cityscape. I wouldn't change a thing. It is superb just as it is. "V". Excellent in every way.
Don't play with it any more - you've made a super image!
Simon, this is not your usual style, but it is excellent, just the same. As to the dark area at the bottom, don't crop it, this looks like a city rising from darkness - mysterious and intriguing :)
This is an amazing impression of a city at sunset! I think your unease is in the 'impression', since you seem to like to work in realism. This is perfect as it is.
Excellent cityscape in every way, you may see all the imperfections but I see a strange beauty.
Its beautiful as it is,Marvelous,vote.
